MLA Formatting and Style Guide (OWL PURDUE ONLINE)
Most library databases contain a link to generate a citation for articles you select such as "Cite" or "Citation" or "Cite This." These links, if clicked, will generate a citation for articles you select from the database in the format that you specify APA, MLA or Chicago-Turabian. NOTE: Always double check the citations the databases generate in your MLA, APA or Chicago-Turabian Handbook - or in O.W.L. Purdue via the library's "How to Cite" link.
For example, in the EBSCOHost databases, look for the "Cite" icon. This can be found under "Tools" to the right of each article record:
Identify which citation style you need to use; APA, MLA or Chicago. Always double-check the citation generated by the databases in your handbook or go to O.W.L. Purdue Writing Lab.
These tools build citations from information that you enter about the resource. Beware that sometimes the citations need fixing, so always double-check their accuracy in one of the manuals.
